This feature is currently in preview. Talk to your account manager for early access.
Call Manager supports bulk user changes via CSV import. This is available under the 'Users' option on the left hand side menu. The CSV is uploaded to storage, and then processed row by row. After processing, a new CSV is created that can be downloaded. This new CSV has two extra columns, 'Change OK' and 'Notes'. Change OK is a boolean column for whether the platform successfully processed the row. 'Notes' will list any warnings or errors, or in the case of a success list the fields for the user that were updated.
From the Bulk User Changes page you can:
- Export an empty template CSV.
- Export all standard users in a CSV. This file can then be modified and uploaded to trigger changes.
- Upload a CSV and have the platform validate the changes without altering existing user settings.
- Upload a CSV and execute on the changes.
- See previous export/validate/import jobs. This includes the ability to retry previous jobs, or 'Execute' on a previous Validation job.
The easiest way to make a bulk change is to start by exporting all standard users. This provides a CSV file in the correct format, already filled with your user data. From this file, make the required amends, then upload.
Note, the platform processes row by row. If a number is configured for a user in a new CSV upload, but currently assigned elsewhere, that number will be removed from the existing user and assigned to the new user. The 'notes' column will contain a warning for cases like this.
